TwoMorrows Publishing signs exclusive agreement with Lunar Distribution

I’m pleased to announce that Lunar Distribution is our new exclusive Direct Market distributor to comic book stores. This is effective immediately, starting with Alter Ego #192, RetroFan #37, and Back Issue #158, shipping in February and March. Those, plus our new printings of the 1965-1969 and 1980s volumes of our American Comic Book Chronicles hardcover series, are arriving here from our printer shortly, and ready for ordering through Lunar. They will mail to subscribers just prior to when they hit stores in a few weeks.

If you already pre-ordered these at your local comics shop, please let your retailer know immediately that Diamond will be cancelling orders for them, and they need to place a new order through Lunar by February 10. If your retailer doesn’t re-order for you, or you just want to ensure you don’t miss an issue, consider ordering direct from TwoMorrows Publishing at www.twomorrows.com.

Alter Ego #193, RetroFan #38, Comic Book Creator #38, Jack Kirby Collector #93, Cryptology #3, and BrickJournal #89 are all completed, and waiting for Lunar’s order so we can go to press—so be sure your retailer places a Lunar order for those also. Our new books announced for 2025 (the Marshall Rogers bio, American Movie Comics, First Comics Companion, and Futuristic) will also have to be ordered through Lunar, and all our products will start being listed next month in the March 2025 issue of Lunar’s Next Phase catalog (#39), available at www.lunardistribution.com.

So, why the switch in distributors? Plain and simple, as much as we’ve enjoyed working with Diamond Comic Distributors over the last 30 years, their bankruptcy left us with substantial losses for our late 2024 and early 2025 releases. Our new agreement with Lunar gives us a more secure future, being exclusively distributed alongside DC Comics, Image Comics, and others. Diamond will continue to fill retailer orders for O/A (Offered Again) products and backlist items already solicited in their November-February Previews catalog, and Diamond Book Distributors will continue providing the bookstore market with our books.

Very shortly, I’ll unveil our plans to recoup some of our losses from Diamond’s bankruptcy, and avoid disruptions to our 2025 releases. Get ready for some creative ways that you, our loyal readers, can support us through this switchover, and help us emerge even stronger on the other side!
