…then you’d still be surprised by some of the comments he made during this fascinating interview with the author of our books on Alan Moore, Miracleman, G-Force, Image Comics, and others. Interesting reading, especially for all you folks out there still asking when we’re going to publish Swampmen.

All the hurdles are now cleared with DC Comics, so the Silver Age Sci-Fi Companion is going to press next week, and should be shipping on December 5. Thanks for everyone’s continued patience; it’s a hum-dinger of a book. Special thanks to author Mike W. Barr and designer Jon B. Cooke for their patience and diligence bringing this one to completion!
Howz about this? Our about-to-be-released book Mego 8″ Super-Heroes: World’s Greatest Toys! is currently the #1 book in Amazon.com’s “toy” section! Considering the number of books on Toys that Amazon has listed, this is a pretty remarkable feat, so congrats go out to author/designer Benjamin Holcomb for creating what’s sure to be the definitive resource for collectors of the perennial favorite Mego Super-Hero Action Figures. It should be in stores and shipping from TwoMorrows HQ on November 28, and having seen the sample copies from our printer, I’m 100% confident no one’s going to be disappointed by it!
If you’re curious to see what all the hubbub is about, click here for a free 24-page PDF preview of this full-color, 256-page hardcover book, which retails for $49.95. And if you’re a hardcore Mego fan, click here for our Mego Collector’s Edition, which is a 250-copy Limited Edition of the book, signed by the author, which also includes a full-color promotional Mego postcard, featuring an alternate design for the book’s cover, plus a free 32-page reprint of Mego’s 1972-1982 super-hero catalogs. The special Collector’s edition costs $75, and is ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH TWOMORROWS! (It’s not sold at Amazon.com or through stores.)

Not to be outdone by his pal Loston Wallace, marvelous Matt Webb produced this spooky Darkseid Halloween tribute to the King of Comics. Nicely carved!
I was just interviewed for the website UnBeige (which covers general magazines) about BrickJournal, our new mag for Lego enthusiasts. You can read it here.
If you’re like me, every year your family asks you what you want for a Christmas, Birthday, Anniversary, Valentines, Jack Kirby’s Birthday, etc. present, and you’re dumbfounded to think of something you really, really want.
Problem solved: TwoMorrows is now offering Gift Certificates at www.twomorrows.com, in US denominations of $25, $50, and $100. With all the delectable mags and books we’ve got available now (and coming soon), you’re not going to get that feeling I used to get whenever my aunt would show up for an occasion, and give me a box containing yet another monogrammed windbreaker or blow-dryer hairbrush (hey, this was the Seventies, after all).
Oh yeah. If you’re the generous type, you can actually buy a Gift Certificate to give to someone else. Sometimes that’s nice, too.
From the entire month of November, we’re offering 50% off all in-stock magazines! (That’s getting one free for every one you buy!) So if you’ve got some holes in your collection that need filling, or were considering trying one of our mags for the first time, this is the perfect time to buy!
